Unlike Saul, this book is head and shoulders above most others in shining the true light on 1 Samuel. A friend and I just finished this book, and learned so much from Dr. Charles L. Parker's insightful presentation. He repeatedly reminds the reader that the Book is not simply about the characters of Hebrew history. Christ is the focus of the entire Bible, and so God uses these Old Testament scriptures to point us to Chri
