Banabana said abra cadaver. Fast paced, riveting novel. First time I've read anything from this author. Will defenitely be on lookout for his other novels. Wallach Abra Cadaver is the debut novel of a series of medical murder mysteries set in Pittsburgh and anchored by the couple of Jack Merlin (surgical resident) and Tory Welch (assistant district attorney). This first effort is of middling quality as the good parts are obscured by some strange choices that the author made which the editors should have caught and corrected. I think this has enough promise that I will read the next in the series in the hopes that the editors will correct some of the obvious problems.The opening scene in the book has a bo. A mess "Abra Cadaver," James Tucker's first novel, is full of potential but never lives up to its possibilities. The premise is fascinating. Two corpses turn up under mysterious circumstances a year apart. The first is fished out of the river and turns out to have been embalmed already. But there doesn't seem to be an embalmed body missing from any of the mortuaries or medical schools.
