Just the premise of a character breaking out of prison one day before his release is enough to make you want to read the book. Weaving the present with the past, Robotham reveals the motivation behind the escape, saving the twist to near the end. I do have to admit I had not figured things out until the author revealed the full story. Up to that point the novel is. Sam Branson said A really compelling read.. My first encounter with this author, but it will not be my last. His narrative flows easily, his protagonist is pretty much completely realized and the plot is really satisfying. A very good book. I read it in one day because I couldn't put it down. Lacked personality Normally like Robotham especially Joe McGloughlin hero.
