"Best Resource out there for CA evidence" according to KnowItAll. First of all it is my honor to say that I had the author of this book, professor Goodman, for Evidence. This book was amazing! Sometimes I don't have time to go through the examples part of the book, or they aren't that helpful so I just read the E + E for the substantive material; but these examples and explanations are really great and the explanations are so concise.If you look aroundthere really isn't a whole lot on CA evidence, let alone a good resource, so this book was really helpful for my class, and will also come in handy for the CA bar. If your evidence class only covers the Federal Rules. Exceptional and Thoroughly Comprehensible I rate this as the best book on evidence that I have read, because it is well written, comprehensible and concise, thus making it a true joy to read. The only other E&E book on evidence is by Arthur Best (Federal Rules of Evidence), which does not compare in scope or magnitude.California Evidence does a remarkable job at contrasting the federal rules of evidence (FRE), alongside California rules evidence (CEC), resulting in a home run combination no matter how you look at it.
