Curious German Folk Tales This is a pretty good book of German folk-lore and legends. The lesser known stories are generally faux-historical, and often include zombies or other sorts of undead. The folk tales are typical stories of the sort, and many are fairly well-known.Overall the book's tone was pretty good. It could probably be read to children, but you'd want to read over it first, and only if they like scary st. Almost Good The stories are great, but the English is really Americanized. It gives a few German cities where the tales take place, but you don't really get a feel that it's German tales. Doesn't fully satisfy for those looking for "German" tales.. Computerized English cWolf The translation by the computer leaves a lot tobe desired. It chooses from a list of words that only human feelings can determine correctly within the story's content. Some meanings are lost by the machine.
